I’m in an awkward position right now. While I’m not a plotter or a planner by any stretch of the imagination, usually, with writing, I at least have a good idea of what I’m going to say.<\/p>\n

A notion. A hint.<\/p>\n

But not right now. Right now I’m sitting in front of the computer and just plain… hoping. That something useful will appear.<\/p>\n

I have a deadline. I have a word count. I have half of what I need. I just don’t have a clear picture of where the other half will take me.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure whether to feel terrified or elated. It could be good. Really good. Or it could all end in tears around the 6000-word mark, when I realise I’ve backed myself into a corner and can’t resolve the ending.<\/p>\n

All I can do is trust that it will all work out. And make it up as I go along.<\/p>\n
