\"newYes, a new A.L. Tait series is coming your way, with the first book launching in October 2017.<\/p>\n

I’ll share more details with you as soon as I can.<\/p>\n

My current To Do list looks something like this:<\/p>\n

\u2022 copy edit The Mapmaker Chronicles #4<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2022 structural edit of first book in new series<\/p>\n

\u2022 write second book in new series<\/p>\n

\u2022 keep one eye on the plan for the US launch of The Mapmaker Chronicles<\/a> series<\/p>\n

\u2022 read screenwriting books for new project<\/p>\n

\u2022 put last-minute touches to my new Make Time To Write on-demand course<\/a> (oh, the irony)<\/p>\n

Which might explain why things have been a little bit quiet on this blog of late.<\/p>\n

Do I miss regular blog posts? Yes, I do. A blog is a wonderful way to sort through your thoughts and give your writing voice free rein. But I am having to make wise choices at present about where I put my words. There are\u00a0900+ posts on this site now (which equates to about 500,000 words… let’s take a moment to think about that…), many of them about writing, the writing process or other information\u00a0for writers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the moment, rather than writing about writing, I’m just… writing.<\/p>\n

If you’re missing my regular\u00a0writing and publishing industry tips and posts, don’t forget that you can hear Val and I talk about such matters every week on the So You Want To Be A Writer podcast<\/a>, where I also share the ins and outs of my author (and other) life.<\/p>\n

And if you want to catch me on a daily basis, you’ll find me on Twitter<\/a>, Facebook<\/a> and Instagram<\/a>. I have discovered that short and snappy (plus one blog post a week) is suiting my\u00a0current work\/life balance.<\/p>\n
